Good writing isn’t just about what’s on the page—it’s about what’s underneath. SKIN DEEP is a guided writing workshop designed to help you break past surface-level storytelling by paying closer attention to the signals your body is sending. Before words come, there are sensations, instincts, and tensions that shape what we write and how we write it. By tuning into these subtler cues, we can access writing that feels more honest, unfiltered, and deeply connected to our own voice.
Through freewriting, guided questions, and sensory awareness, we’ll slow down and listen: Where does the body want to lead the writing? What’s being held back? What’s ready to be released? This isn’t about forcing words onto the page—it’s about uncovering what’s already there, just beneath the surface. Whether you're feeling creatively blocked or simply looking for a new way to approach your work, SKIN DEEP offers a space to reconnect with your writing—and yourself.
There will also be time to share your words (if you choose) and connect with other writers in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you come alone or with a friend, this workshop is an opportunity to build creative community, exchange ideas, and find inspiration in the process of writing alongside others.
Attendees will receive a gift bag to take with them, including a Daily Reflection Journal by our friends at Space of Time. This event is ticketed for everyone, including members.
