ON TUESDAY, MAY 7TH AT 6:00PM PST, ARTIST HALLETA ALEMU IS TEACHING A VIRTUAL CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP.
Ready to break free from creative stagnation? The workshop is a three-part journey to restart our minds post-retrograde. Halleta Alemu, a multimedia writer and artist, will guide through a writing session, taking inspiration from sourced images from her collection. Following, Alemu will encourage writers to take in their surroundings and pen an empirical piece with her guidance.
After the writing portion, there will be a Q&A session hosted by the artist. Here you’ll be able to dive into questions about her publishing experience, her self-published debut book, and her Substack, Electric Blue.
Please bring a journal or writing materials to the event. You will exit the event with two pieces of writing to further develop, cherish, and hold.
This event will be free to current members and non-members can purchase a ticket to the event through our ‘donate what you can’ program. A zoom link will be sent out the morning of the event.
